To operate the UP² Point of Sale system and comply with financial regulations, we collect specific information when you register and onboard with Peterkin Labs Inc d/b/a UP² ("we", "us", or "our").

1.1 Identity Data

When you create an account, we collect:

Full Name
Email Address
Phone Number (used for OTP Verification)

1.2 Financial & Compliance Data

To enable payouts and comply with "Know Your Customer" (KYC) laws, we collect the following on behalf of our payment processor:

Date of Birth
Physical Address
SSN (Last 4 Digits) or Business Tax ID
Bank Account Details (Routing & Account Number)

We do not store full bank account numbers on our servers. This data is tokenized and sent directly to Stripe.

2. Financial Infrastructure

UP² is not a bank. We utilize third-party financial infrastructure to process payments and hold funds.

We use Stripe Connect to facilitate your payments. When you onboard, you are creating a "Connected Account" within Stripe's system. Stripe processes and stores your full financial data.

By using our service, you grant UP² the right to access your Stripe Connected Account to initiate charges, refunds, and payouts on your behalf.

3. How We Use Data

We use your information strictly to provide and improve the UP² platform:

Transaction Processing: To generate payment links and confirm successful transactions.
Service Improvement: We analyze transaction history and usage patterns to improve platform performance.
Authentication: We use your phone number to send One-Time Passwords (OTPs) via Twilio to secure your account.
Payouts: To schedule and execute transfers of funds to your attached bank account.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We maintain strict privacy controls regarding how your information is shared.

Mobile Information Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We share data only with the critical infrastructure providers necessary to run the app:

Secure Cloud Infrastructure

We use industry-standard cloud services to host our database and manage user authentication.

Twilio: Your phone number is shared with Twilio solely for the purpose of sending SMS verification codes.
Law Enforcement: We may disclose information if required by a subpoena or other legal process.

5. Security & Encryption

We implement proprietary technical measures to protect your data. To ensure the integrity of our security architecture, specific implementation details are confidential.

Link Encryption: Payment links generated by UP² contain transaction data encrypted via proprietary algorithms utilizing secure cryptographic protocols. This ensures payment details cannot be tampered with.
Tokenization: Sensitive banking information is tokenized before it reaches our servers.
Access Control: All API requests are authenticated via secure Bearer Tokens.
